Jewish Life is alive and well at the University of South Florida. For specific programs check our calendar, but take a look at the type of programs USF Hillel sponsors. If you see something of interest to you, get involved. If you have ideas for something new, then contact Sylvie to share your thoughts. She'll work with you to make it happen.

Wanna go to Israel for FREE?  Join us for the USF Hillel Taglit Birthright-Israel trip over winter break. Picture yourself floating in the Dead Sea, walking through the ancient

Israel Advocacy & Education

USF Hillel students have been                                recognized for their outstanding Israel Advocacy. Bulls for Israel is our student-led Israel advocacy and education group. BFI received the "Activist Campus of the Year" award from AIPAC...TWICE!! Our Israel Culture Club also sponsors speakers, Israel Parties and movies throughout the year.

We have a lot of fun, social

programs to build the Jewish community on campus, but the best social program is our regular Hillel Ice Cream Parlor.  Come to USF Hillel every Monday evening from 6-8pm for delicious, homemade ice cream. We feature a new flavor every week. Bring your homework. Bring a friend, and enjoy the Hillel Ice Cream Parlor.

Shabbat takes place every week, so be sure to join old friends and new at USF Hillel for a delicious, kosher Shabbat dinner every Friday night during the fall and spring semesters at 6:30pm.

If you would like to be on the

Shabbat Committee which plans

and prepares Shabbat and

holiday dinners at Hillel, click here.

USF Hillel is a green Hillel.

Jack's garden is a lovely refuge

from the stress of academic life.  We also have a compost program to reduce our waste.  If you're interested in nature, gardening and protecting the environment, there are a lot of ways to get involved and make a difference.

We have also just started the newest chapter of "Scubi Jew" a Jewish environmental group that focuses on the marine environment.  If you're a scuba diver or want to get certified, contact Rabbi Ed to get involved with "Scubi Jew."

Tzedek & Social Justice

USF Hillel takes part in campus wide Social Justice programs like "Relay for Life" and "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes." We also co-sponsor programs with other campus organizations that promote mutual respect and understanding between different ethnic and religious groups.
